AFC Leopards have confirmed the signing of ex-Gor Mahia and Tusker midfielder Collins Okoth,popularly known as ‘Gatusso’.
Okoth joins the GoTv champions on a two-year deal and team manager Dan Mule says the club is thrilled to have landed the services of the powerful midfielder and a long-serving employee of Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia.
“We have signed ‘Gattuso’ on a two year deal and he now joins our squad for this season. He is a good player with top quality and we hope he will be able to help us achieve our goals.”
Collins Okoth first joined Gor Mahia in 2012 and endured seasons marred with ill discipline despite being a formidable figure at the center of Gor Mahia’s midfield. He would later join Tusker then Sofapaka before making a return to Gor Mahia in 2014.
Meanwhile,AFC Leopards admit the club is still on the lookout for more players as the new season fast approaches. The Ingwe also look to bolster their squad for the forthcoming continental tournament.
The have so far signed Joseph Kuria from Posta Rangers and Kakamega Homeboys’ ace,Marvin Omondi.
“Well, we are not yet done, we are still looking for a striker. He might be a foreigner but definitely with quality because we want someone to help us get goals,” Mule added.
