- It is another FKF saga of who is right and who is going to be? Reports say that the FKF has moved to court to try and compel the registrar to allow them to conduct an election outside the office.
It’s clear that their office tenure expired on 10th February and the FKF will on 25th Tuesday mount the case to see it done that they still hold an election against the sports act of 2015. Yet again without the KFF, it is now FKF alone fight on who is right and as it’s always the Kenyans football who will feel this impact. The sports dispute tribunal has directed the hearing to start on Tuesday 25 February.
The question many Kenyans ask is why and how is this going to end? While all eyes are focused on the decision of Sports tribunal FKF lawyer, Litoro and Omwebu Advocates have already set their stand seeking an order directing the Sport Registrar (respondent) to accept and receive returns of the newly elected officials from FKF. FKF calling on has gone to the tribunal to have the case urgently heard and determined before the time-constrained electorate body begins their work.
Twaha Mbarak condemns the honesty of the administration saying, “It is regrettable that we are not honest in the administration of our game. If we were FKF should have learned from Hon. Judge Mwera (John) ruling on April 8, 2004, that you have no business purporting to conduct election once your term has expired.” This comes when some of the Kenya premier league clubs are on the verge of losing sponsors and the time when the national team had shown signs of steady progress. It is a nightmare that no one knows how it is going to end.
