– Carlos Tevez has emerged as a major target for Man United this month
– The Red Devils are desperately in need of a striker during this winter break
– Marcus Rashford has been ruled out for a few weeks after suffering back injury
Manchester United are reportedly considering plans to re-sign Argentine forward Carlos Tevez before the end of the January transfer window.
The Red Devils were condemned to a 2-0 defeat by Burnley in their Premier League mid-week clash at Old Trafford.

A goal each from Chris Wood and Jay Rodriguez handed the Clarets the crucial win over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Italian outlet Tuttosport reports that the Argentine could stage a surprise return to Old Trafford as back up for injured striker Marcus Rashford.
The striker played for the Red Devils earlier in his career spending just two years under former boss Sir Alex Ferguson between 2007 and 2009.
During his reign at the club, he won one Champions League and two Premier League titles among several other domestic silverware.
The Argentine later joined Manchester City in controversial fashion and went on to win the Premier League with the citizens.
He scored a total of 34 goals and registered 14 assists in 99 appearances across competitions during his two-year reign at Old Trafford.
Tevez turns 36 on February 5, and he is a major target for the Red Devils who seem to be short on attackers at this moment of the season.
Rashford hurt his back and will be out of action for several weeks – although, no specific date is fixed for his return.
United failed to close the gap on Chelsea on the Premier League table following their home defeat to Burnley, and they might need some firepower up front if they are to genuinely challenge for Champions League football predictions next season.
With the winter transfer window shutting down next week, the Old Trafford outfit will have to make up their mind on the signing of the Argentine star.
