- Mathare Signed Lual from Altabara FC on a 3-year long deal at the beginning of the month. He is determined to sparkle in the league and earn the first call to the senior team.
The recently signed Mathare United forward Dani Lual is focused on following the footsteps of his fellow countryman, David Majak. He seeks to secure a position in the South Sudan national team.
Mathare signed the player from Altabara FC during the start of the month. The sensational striker believes that he will find himself in the national team just like Majak.
Before the striker joined Mathare United, he had unsuccessfully tried his luck with Valencia in Spanish. However, the lad did not lose hope, he views Kenyan Premier League as a perfect tool to unlock the opportunities lying ahead of his career. One of them is featuring in senior team after graduating from the Under – 20.
Lual said his inspiration will highly depend on the Majak who is now playing in the South Sudan national team. Majak gained his breakthrough in 2018 after clinching the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Most Valuable Player (MVP).
“I want to achieve what Majak has achieved for the short time he has been in KPL. I envy his success and I am hoping to follow his footsteps. I only watched him play once last year in the World Cup qualifiers and I was impressed with his performance which has been polished up by playing in the KPL. I have played in the U-20 team and I feel I am ripe to advance to the next level,” he added.
