- The winger, Ayub Timbe has been training with Reading for some time and he confirmed that he has already impressed the technical bench and now part of the Reading squad.
The Kenyan winger, Ayub Timbe is set to be part and parcel of the English Championship side Reading FC. The player is signed under a loan deal from China’s Beijing Renhe.
Ayub has been training with Reading FC players and he confirmed that the technical bench is already impressed with his skills. At the beginning of the year, the player revealed that the English Championship side has shown great interest in the winger but the deal did not make out earlier.
After Beijing Renhe was relegated to the second-tier of the league, Timbe was sure to have a new challenge in the English Championship.
“I am having my medical at 5 pm (UK time) and if everything goes well I will officially join the club. This is a great club with a huge history. It is also obviously another level here in England and I am happy to start a new challenge and see what comes out of it,” he said.
Last year has not been good to the winger as he was hampered by an injury but the lad recovered on time to feature on the Harambee Stars team as they participate in Africa Cup of nations which was held in Egypt.
In the Chinese Super League, Ayub played 13 times for Beijing Renhe. A team that he joined in 2017 after playing for Lierse SK which is in the Belgian league.
The transfer windows which is scheduled to close on Friday. Timbe and the Brazilian midfielder Felipe Araruna are the major signings that have been recently witnessed. Felipe Araruna joined Reading FC from Sao Paulo.
