Gor Mahia’s skipper Harun Shakava is not a worried man ahead the clubs showdown with Algerian giants in the CAF Confederations cup fixture on Wednesday 16th at MISC Kasarani.
Gor Mahia will be looking to register a positive result in front of their fans in the second group D fixture, The Dylan Kerr coached side last drew with Rayon Sports away to Rwanda in the opening group fixture.
USM Alger on the other hand whooped Young Africans 4-0 making them the group D leaders,Despite their performance Gor Mahia skipper is optimistic of a positive result from the charges.
“We have been playing many matches which have made it easy to approach big games… we are at home and as a team, we need to play as a unit because they are a good team and to achieve the best, we must be solid,” Shakava told the club website.
Adding that, “It will be a tough match but as a team, we will set the mood and push ourselves to at least get good results to keep us going in the group. It will not be an easy encounter because they are a good side but we believe in ourselves and we will stage a good show as a team to get a good result.”
Gor Mahia last game was a friendly against English championship side Hull City where they lost on post-match penalties.
