The new Kenyan Premier League club Wazito FC has signed the Liberian international, Augustine Out from LPRC FC.
The official Wazito FC website confirmed that the striker has joined their squad. A few hours ago, Wazito published: “We are pleased to announce the signing of Liberian international Augustine Otu from Liberian top tier side, Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) FC.
“The striker has been training with the team for the last few weeks and impressed the coaching staff with his work ethic and goal-scoring abilities. He is a Lone Stars regular.”
Thereafter, the head coach, Stewart Hall affirmed that the new signing to the club will be very beneficial to the club especially in the forward. The coach stated that Otu is a young and sensational striker who can help the club to score many goals. He believes that the Liberian international will bring healthy competition to the clubs’ forward.
This good news happens to Wazito FC after the veteran defender Dan Owino announces his retirement from the club. Wazito FC expects the few changes in the squad to help them avoid relegation in the Kenya Premier League or even win the league title.
Otu happens to be the eighth signing of the club this January. Wazito FC had previously signed Dennis Nganga, Kennedy Owino, Dennis Sikhayi, Issafou Bourhana, Alvin Ochieng, Ronald Ashimoto and Whyvonne Isuza.
After joining Wazito FC, the Liberian international said, “I am delighted to be joining such an ambitious team like Wazito. I have been training with the team for a while now and I already feel at home, everyone at the club has been supportive. I am looking forward to making my debut, I want to play my part in helping the team by scoring goals, I can’t wait to get started.”
The battle for KPL has just begun and Wazito FC has set a perfect start with the signing of potential players to the squad. High performance in the league is what every fan and stakeholder of Wazito FC expects.
