The past few days have not been the best at Gor Mahia with reports of rifts among the technical staff members, this escalates only days after Bandari brought to a halt the club’s unbeaten run in the local league,
As revealed by Gor Mahia official website the clubs technical committee lead by Hon John Pesa held a meeting with the technical staff in an effort to settle the rift that may jeopardize Gor Mahia fine season.
Confirming the developments as revealed by Gor Mahia’s official webiste was the clubs CEO Lordvick Aduda who indicated they had finally reached to an an agreement with all parties involved promising to work together.
We held a meeting today with the technical bench staff – head coach Dylan Kerr, Assistant coach Zedekiah Otieno, Team Manager Jolawi Obondo and goalkeeper trainer Willis Ochieng’ to discuss and find a lasting solution to the unfortunate incident in Mombasa yesterday,” said Aduda.
“There was a misunderstanding between some members of the technical staff which lead to what happened Mbaraki. All parties involved have apologised to each other, to the team, to the club’s management, to all stakeholders and to Gor Mahia fan base at large.”
“It was necessary to hold such a meeting to understand what the problem was and probably find a good solution to it. We are glad we managed to handle it well and the technical staff will continue to work together without any problem like they have been doing,” he added.
It is reported that head coach Kerr and goalkeeper trainer Ochieng’ exchanged bitter words at the sidelines during Gor Mahia 2-1 loss to coastal side Bandari on Tuesday, its not clear yet on what might have led to the wrangles between the two.
Gor Mahia will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table when they tackle Posta Rangers tommorrow in the rescheduled KPL clash.
